Bienvenido "Ben" Flores, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on May 14, 2022, surrounded by family and friends. Ben was a long time resident of Yonkers, NY.
Born to Juan and Rufina Flores, Ben was raised and educated in the Philippines. He spent his youth with older brother, Fred, and younger sister, Cena, in Santo Domingo, Nueva Ecija. Ben attended Centro Escolar University in Manila where he earned a Bachelor of Science. Ben, his wife and children immigrated to the United States in 1983, and has since lived in New York. He was a medical technologist at the VA Hospital, and finally, at New York Presbyterian before retiring in 2017.
Ben most loved taking care of his family, home and garden. He also enjoyed traveling, line dancing, cooking, and golfing. Ben is survived by his devoted family: wife, Cristina, daughters, Kathleen and Kristine, son-in-law, Gary, grandchildren, Alex and Kayla, and his sister, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
