The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Francisca Delorise can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Francisca Delorise

Francisca  Delorise
Ms. Francisca Delorise, daughter of the late Matias Run, was born April, 4, 1924 in
Mayagüez, Puerto RIco. Despite only having an Elementary school education,
she migrated to the United States, in 1946, where she settled in Williamsburg,
Brooklyn.

Francisca is predeceased by her 3 brothers, Victor Lugo, Pedro “Pucho” Lugo,
Abdon Jose Lugo, and 2 sisters, Isabel Lugo, Maria Christina Lugo.
Her beautiful life will forever be lovingly remembered by her children, Nilda
Rodriguez, Elizabeth Camacho, Daisy Henna, Frank Delorise, Mildred (Midge) Delorise-Harris, and several nieces and nephews.

Full of love, Francisca was a doting matriarch, with 9 grandchildren, 1 interred, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Throughout her early time in WIlliamsburg, she was an active member of Most Holy Trinity Church, where she would frequently volunteer, and visit the sick at neighboring hospitals; Wherever she lived she was always an active member of the church community. She was also a member of Las Hijas de Maria, and a Cursillista.

Amongst some of her favorite activities were completing word search and jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, reading the Bible, and cooking for her family and friends.

The viewing will be held on Sunday 9/15 at Flynn Memorial Home, 1652 Central Park Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10710 from 2-4pm, and 7-9pm.

The farewell mass will take place on Monday, 9/16 at St. Bartholomew Church, located at 15 Palmer Road, Yonkers, NY 10701. at 10 am, followed by her burial at Mount Hope Cemetery 50 Jackson Ave (Jackson Ave at, Saw Mill River Rd, Hastings-On-Hudson, NY 10706.
