Obituary for Carol A. Macko
Carol Macko of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2023, in her home.
Carol was born October 6, 1957 and was one of five children born to John F. Browne and Anne E. Browne in Bronxville, NY. She is survived by her brother Robert (Patti), Thomas (Heather) and Michael. And predeceased by her brother Kevin (Patty). Carol was the devoted mother of three children, Lauren, Thomas and Jacqueline (Michael) and the beloved Mima to four grandchildren, Ayden, Trinity, Leah and Lorelai.
For Carol, family was her life. She was a wonderful mother, who was very supportive of all of her children. She always made sure she was there when they needed her. When it came to her grandchildren, nothing made her happier than to spend time with them. The minute she hugged them, her smile would light up the room.
Carol was extremely proud of earning her nursing degree while raising three children. She concluded her nursing career with Visiting Nurse Services of New York. As a caring and compassionate nurse, Carol earned the love and respect of all of her patients.
Once retired, Carol was able to purchase her dream home. She often hosted holiday dinners for family and friends where her infectious laugh and big personality made everyone feel at home. Carol will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
