Claire A. Himics
Claire, a life-long resident of Yonkers, died peacefully on Wednesday morning, November 23, 2022, at Westchester Medical Center, after a brief illness. She was three weeks shy of her 94th birthday.
Claire worked for many years for Western Electric doing telephone repair. Known to family and friends as “Aunt Claire,” she enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting, sewing and doing all kinds of puzzles.
Claire was predeceased by her parents and sister; she is survived by her daughter Christine, two nieces and a nephew, a large and close extended family, and many dear friends.
Visitation will take place at Flynn Memorial Home on Friday, November 25, from 4 to 8 pm. Mass will be held on Saturday, November 26 at 10 am, in St. Eugene’s Church, Yonkers, NY.
