Obituary for Cynthia Santana

“Hello All,

On Tuesday, February 16, our daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, aunt and friend Cynthia Santana took her last breath and was reunited with our Heavenly Father. Our hearts are filled with grief and we haven’t been able to wrap our heads around this new reality. Those that know Cynthia know how big her heart was. Cindy was so full of love and joy. She was a caretaker, a dancing Queen, a student, a foodie and so much more. From her random spurts of laughter and tight hugs, Cynthia had more love to share than one can imagine.

Our family is deeply saddened and are still coordinating all arrangements. My sister will be set to rest at Oakland Cemetery on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. We will notify everyone of the time of burial once everything is fully coordinated. If you should wish to attend the funeral, please be sure to remain socially distanced, wear a mask and refrain from all physical contact.

In an effort to always remember and pay homage to Cynthia, we will be donating in memory of Cynthia to Gigi’s Playhouse Westchester. Cynthia was a member of Gigi’s playhouse and it is a center for individuals with Down syndrome. Down syndrome is solely an extra chromosome and those that know Cynthia can surely attest to that.

Cynthia was always full of life and love for everyone. She loved a dance floor and dancing the night away. Please continue to remember Cynthia and honor her. My family would like to express our deepest thanks to all who have reached out to us. Thank you for respecting our privacy at this time.”

Thanks,

Marlene Santana Vargas
