Obituary

Daniel DeChent, age 45, died at his home in Wappingers Falls Wednesday December 23rd, from along hard battle with cancer.

A longtime Yonkers resident, Daniel was born on June 10th, 1975. He attended Roosevelt High
School in Yonkers, and was an employee of Con Edison for 17 years as a crew chief for the
underground in New York City.

Daniel is the son of the late Edward DeChent and survived by his mother Kathleen DeChent. Daniel is also survived by his wife Sonia DeChent of 17 years, and his sons Daniel DeChent Jr. and Devin DeChent. Daniel is also survived by his brother Edward DeChent and his wife Maria of Putnam Valley, along with his nieces and nephew Amanda, Brandon, and Eva, his brother Eric DeChent and his fiance Helena Pulichene of Wappingers Falls, his sister Mary Pugliese and her husband Edward of Hopewell Junction, along with his nephew Erik and Shane, and his niece Lily.

Calling hours are from 2-6pm on Sunday December 27th, at Flynn Memorial Home
1652 Central Park Ave. Yonkers, New York.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, December
28th, at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, NY.

    Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the number of visitors to the wake including family is limited to 25 people.

    Once capacity is reached within the funeral home it will be necessary for guests to wait outside in the parking lot until it is safe to enter.

    Masks are required in the building at all times.
