Obituary for Doreen Madonia
Doreen Madonia of Yonkers passed away on July 24 at the age of 61.
Doreen was born in the Bronx to the late Frances and Frank Madonia. Doreen was a graduate of Mercy College and had a successful 40-year career as a banker starting at the Bank Of New York where she worked for more than 30 years, her career also took her to Hudson Valley Bank and of late The Westchester Bank.
Doreen is survived by her loving and amazing husband Miguel Mijailidis, her sister and brother in law Maria and John Nalbandian, mother in law Lydis Michaelides, sister in laws Janet Madonia and Monica Ragonesi and nephew and niece Louis and Jessica Ragonesi. Doreen was predeceased by her brother Dennis Madonia and sister Debra Metz.
Doreen’s big heart and kind spirt blessed her with many wonderful and loving friends especially Melanie, Donna and Ann and was honored to call their children nieces and nephews. Dor loved you all with all her heart. Doreen also loved the times she spent at the Jersey shore with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Jude Children’s Hospital or please donate blood in Doreen's memory.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, from 4 pm to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 29th, at 11 am, at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Scarsdale, NY. Interment will be held privately.
