Obituary for Edna Grauso

After 98 blessed years with us on earth, Edna Grauso returned home to be with our Lord on January 29th. Edna was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on July 28th 1922 to her birth parents Howard and Florence Dearborn.
Sadly, while Edna was still an infant, her mother Florence became gravely ill. She made arrangements for the adoption of her daughter, Edna, to a wonderful couple, Alfred and Malvina LaBrie. They loved her so and raised her to be a caring beautiful woman, friend, wife, mother and grandmother.

Edna was such a devoted mother and homemaker. Working only part time in retail once her children had grown.

Edna was married to her beloved husband Mario, who preceded her in passing on November 2011. She is back in the arms of the man who loved her so dearly. She is also preceded in passing by her sister Pat (Myrtle). The sisters were separated as children and didn't grow up together. Edna spent most of her adult life searching for her. Once they found each other it was as if they were never separated. Their love for each other grew stronger day by day. She missed her big sister so very much and we find peace in knowing they are together once again.

Edna is survived by her 3 children Ralph, Lorraine (Alan) and Rose (Bill); 2 granddaughters Amanda (Tom) and Dana, and many nieces and nephews who will greatly miss her.

Even at her extended age, Edna had many friends from ages 8 to 98. Her friendship and loyalty knew no bounds.

Edna loved life, the people in her life, and will be missed by too many to count.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 3rd at St. Eugene's Church, 707 Tuckahoe Road,
Yonkers NY at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.

Memorial donations in Edna's name can be made to the COPD Foundation, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or The Humane Society
