Obituary for Harry A. Glus
Harry Alexander Glus, Age 84, of Yonkers, NY passed away on the evening of Friday, January 1, 2021`. He was the son of Harry and Helen Glus (Orlowsky). Harry is survived by his loving wife Barbara, his sister, Geraldine Yacko and sister and brother-in law Joseph and Stephanie Patrick. Also survived by Nephew Stephen Patrick (Gretchen), and nieces, Tammy Epstein, Christine Kernozek (Richard) and Laura Yacko (Paul Minella). He also took great joy in his great niece and nephew Sloane & Ryan.
Harry grew up in Yonkers and joined The U.S. Navy in 1954-57. Since 1979 he was employed by The Piper’s Kilt Restaurant. His passions were all things sports but particularly the game of golf and his many friends at Westchester Hills Golf Club in White Plains, NY. He was tough, sweet and smart. His smile and sense of humor will be missed by many.
In May of 2019 Harry took part in Mission # 23 of The Hudson Valley Honor Flight honoring our veterans. He was absolutely thrilled to be a part of that trip. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to: Hudson Valley Honor Flight, P.O. Box 375, Walden NY 12586.
