Obituary for Lazaro G. Boada
Lazaro Gonzalo Boada passed away peacefully Monday October 19th, 2020 at age 65 in Yonkers, NY.
Lazaro is lovingly remembered by many family members; his daughters, Vanessa Zahran, Patricia Boada-Linstrom and Maritza Vinci; his son in laws, Andy Zahran, Nicholas Vinci and Gregory Linstrom; his grandchildren Emily Zahran, Julian Zahran, Emma Prunet and Sarah Vinci; his sisters, Vania Rivera and Ana Medina; his nieces and nephews Wanda Martucci, Osvaldo Medina and Kassandra Rivera as well as Ogilma Fundora Mederos, Josephine and Isabella Catala.
Lazaro was born in Havana, Cuba on January 10th, 1955 to Carmen Mercedes Boada and Mario Boada. Lazaro was a devoted father and grandfather and a loving and caring man. He grew up with a love of baseball that always remained in his heart and that he shared with others. He enjoyed being with his family and telling stories of his adventurous life. He could do it all from the handy work to the cooking and cleaning. He was a kind man and a friend to all and was always willing to lend a helping hand and offer his wisdom to others. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Visiting hours will be held at the Flynn Memorial Home, 325 S. Broadway, Yonkers, NY 10705, on Friday, October 23rd from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
Committal will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital or The American Cancer Society.
