Obituary for Manish Das

Manish Ranjan Das was born in Bangladesh, one of 9 children and the only son to Mukhanda Nath Das and Suniti Prava Biswas . As a young man, he loved playing football and later he enjoyed watching boxing matches with the Great Mohamed Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard in the 70s. He married Joystna Paul and eventually moved to New York in 1976. He was a welder at United Utensco in Port Washington, Long Island for many years.

He loved his sisters and their children will all of his heart. Though, Manish did not have children of his own, he loved all of his nieces, nephews and and their children as if they were his. Manish Ranjan Das was a man of faith. He attended The Ramakrishna Vivekananda Center of New York for over 40 years every Sunday. Whenever he went to India, he and his wife, Joystna, would visit temples. He is now with holy company in heaven.

Manish was a man with such a pleasant smile and always gentle natured . He was loved by everyone- children and adults alike. May beautiful memories of him live in us until we meet again. Manish passed away peacefully in his sleep at approximately 5:30 am on Tuesday, April 26,2022. He was at Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, NY for the final weeks of his life.
