Obituary for Margaret "Peggy" Sotomayor (Tobin)
Margaret “Peggy” Sotomayor, passed away in her home, in New Rochelle, NY, on September 24, 2020, at the age of 67.
Peggy is lovingly remembered by her beloved son Jayson A. Sotomayor of Yonkers, NY, her sister Patricia Tobin of Pelham Manor, NY, her niece Christine E. Picard (Jordan)(Benjamin) of Warwick, RI, her great nephew Peter Thomas Picard of Warwick, RI, her beloved fur-baby Darcy, and many cousins and friends.
Peggy was born in Washington Heights, NY in 1952. She graduated from Aquinas High School in 1974. Peggy then went on to become a Nurses Aide for more than 20 years. Shortly thereafter, Peggy moved to her house in Pennsylvania, where she became a Case Manager for people with disabilities.
Peggy loved music, reading, writing and caring for others but, her true passions were being a mother, and animals.
Peggy adored her beloved son, and referred to herself as “mama bear”. She loved all animals, especially her very special pets.
Peggy was patriotic, and loved the good ol’ USA!
Peggy will be dearly missed by all who loved her. May she rest in peace eternall
