Obituary for Marie G. DiPaulo (Federico)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Marie DiPaulo,77, of Scarsdale, NY. Marie joined her heavenly family and gained her wings on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at White Plains Hospital, after a long battle with Covid-19. Marie fought with a strength she didn’t even realize she had, but her family couldn’t be more proud of her.
Marie was born in Manhattan, NY to Peter and Lucy Catale in 1943. She had one brother, the late Robert Catale. In 1982, Marie met the love of her life, Chuck DiPaulo, and they wed in 1993. Marie worked for many years at Cafe Trento, a perfect place for her to pursue her passion for baking.
Marie had a heart of gold, and radiated a warmth like no other to everyone around her. She was a natural born chef and baker. She was our very own TOP CHEF. Marie’s family and friends were always welcomed with opened arms and her superb cooking was always the highlight of every holiday and celebration.
Marie is survived by her three loving children, Patricia, John, and Stephanie, her adored granddaughter and soon-to-be-mother Samantha and her husband Jon. Marie was an extraordinary woman filled with so much love and compassion for others and will be missed terribly by all those who knew and loved her.
