Obituary for Mary J. Sheridan

Mary Sheridan of Bronxville on January 9, 2023. She had resided for almost the last seven years at Andrus on the Hudson in Hastings, New York.

Mary was born in the Bronx in 1929 to Michael and Annie Sheridan. She attended Our Lady of Mercy Grammar School and Mount St Ursula High School. Upon graduation she worked for International Paper in NYC. She was an active member of the Mount St. Ursula Alumnae Association, a lay member of a number of religious organizations and a Eucharistic Minister to the homebound at St. Philip Neri parish (Bronx) before moving to Bronxville in 1982. In Bronxville she was an active member of St. Joseph's Arts and Leisure Group. Mary enjoyed traveling with her friends, particularly enjoyed vacations on cruise ships as well as listening to Irish music and tales from Killinkere in County Cavan.

Mary is survived by her brother John of Bronxville, and her niece Ann Marie Fallon (husband John) and grand nephew James of Chappaqua and her brother-in-law Ernest Bayer. She was predeceased by her sister Anne (Nancy) Bayer.

Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 9:45am St. Joseph's Church, Bronxville, NY. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to any charity of your choosing.
