Mary Rita (nee Kelly) Young, of Yorktown Heights, NY formerly of Yonkers, NY and Brick, NJ passed away peacefully at her home on February 24, 2021. She was 95 years old.

Mary Rita graduated from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in NY, NY and Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY and work as a registered nurse in the emergency room at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, NY until her retirement in 1994. Beloved wife of Thomas F.Young who she married in 1954 at Christ the King Church in Yonkers.

Loving mother of Maureen (Timothy) Shore of Mill Valley, CA, Theresa (Raymond Lyman, life partner) Young of Bronx, NY, Susan (Thomas) Fraleigh of Yorktown Heights, NY and the late Ann Marie Young who passed in 1979. Cherished grandmother of Patrick, Liam, Thomas Jr., Aidan, and bonus child Victoria Felix. She was predeceased by two brothers, Howard and William Kelly. Also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Funeral Mass, 9:30 am, Sacred Heart Church, Yonkers, NY. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
