Obituary for Mathew George
It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Mathew George born and raised in Kerala, India and resident of Scarsdale, NY.
He is survived by his loving wife Grace George (Nellikamannil), and children Geno, Geni and Gebe; wives Lindsey & Tina along with his beautiful grandchildren Savannah, Sienna, and Luca, who will always remain his greatest accomplishments and pride in life.
To his siblings Rosa (Kerala), Joseph (deceased), Mary (NY), Theresa (NY), Philomena (deceased), Abraham (NY), and Mercy (NY), he will forever be a devoted brother.
George proudly served the Indian Air force in Delhi, India. He immigrated to the USA from Kerala in 1977 and reached the epitome of success as a businessman in the fashion industry. He later went up to conquer the real-estate world and lead success in sales and investments. He was also a simple outdoorsman who loved being one with nature.
But these are not the achievements that he will be remembered by. He will be remembered for his unconditional love; a man who always put others first; who always lent a helping hand to anyone in need and whose advice meant only good intentions. A warrior who carried the weight of a hundred on his shoulders, but most of all, the one who held us all together.
He has left a legacy of selfless love, devotion, compassion, and guidance. Lucky are those that have been touched by his simplicity. We can only humbly imagine to live up to him.
For his family, friends, and those who knew him, his passing will forever leave a dark void in our lives. We take comfort knowing that his suffering is no more and that his greatness over shines our deepest sorrows. May his memories live on with us for a lifetime and beyond.
