Modesto was an avid NY METS fan & looked forward to the baseball season all winter and loved his Ecuadorian Barcelona S.C. Futbol. He also loved reading, crossword puzzles, playing the lotto, taking long walks, writing poetry, reading his Spanish newspaper “El Diario”, and especially correcting everyone’s grammer in Spanish until the very end.

He was someone who was always grateful for the food he had in front him, the roof over his head and the family he had to share it with. Making the sign of the cross always to thank God for it all.

We we will always remember him as the funny, always ready with a quater for anyone’s meter so they wouldn’t get a ticket, hard working, loving father, best grandpa and pipa we could have hoped for, may you finally find your happiness and sleep in peace.
