Obituary for Nancy Marisabel Correa

Nancy Marisabel Correa, 56, of Yonkers, NY, passed away in the early hours of May 11th, 2022.

She was born on December 5th, 1965 in Santiago, Republica Dominicana to Domingo and Maria Lopez. She immigrated to the United States as a child and attended Yonkers Public Schools, graduating from Gorton High School in 1984.

In her youth, Nancy trained as a model. She loved to sing and dance, especially to salsa and Michael Jackson. Her favorite cake was pineapple upside down cake and made the best banana milkshakes.
She was a devout Catholic and held tight to her faith through the trials she endured in her life.
She grew up with a large family consisting of five generations spanning several states and countries.

Nancy married Samuel Correa and had two children, Sam and Krystal Correa, who she loved with all her heart. She had immense pride in her children and in watching them become strong, independent adults. Her Sonny Boy and Her Rock.

Nancy cared for her nieces and nephews, preparing meals and taking them to the park after school and during school breaks. She cared for them as if they were her own out of the immeasurable love she had for her siblings— her best friends and partners in crime. She looked after her family and friends with selflessness and compassion. Nancy was a guardian angel to many and will forever hold her close to our hearts.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, bravery, strength, and kindness.

She will be deeply missed.
