Rocchina DiMatteo (Roxanne) aka Mama & Foxy Roxy

Rocchina DiMatteo passed away peacefully at home in Middlebury, CT on September 16, 2022. Born in Guardia dei Lombardi, Italy to the late Gaitanella (DiLeo) and Francesco Siconolfi on November 27, 1929, Rocchina married the love of her life, Emilio DiMatteo, on November 22, 1949 in Italy and both made their permanent home in the United States in 1950. Loving Mother of Helen (Anthony) Yannantuono and Robert (Susan) DiMatteo. Cherished Grandmother of Daniel and Stephen (Joanna) Yannantuono, Robert and Ashely DiMatteo. Adoring Great-Grandmother of Gianna, Dantae and Dominic Yannantuono. She is also survived by her loving sister Maria Gallo. In addition to parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Emilio, brother Lorenzo, and sister Antionette.

Rocchina spent many years as a nanny for young children. She adored babies and loved taking care of them. Rocchina’s passion for cooking and gardening brought her much happiness. The more people that were at her table the more pleased she was. But by far her most cherished times were spent with her beloved family. Her contagious smile and hearty laughter will be greatly missed, but always remembered.
