Obituary for Rosalie Camasto

Rosalie Camasto was born to Augostino Amato and Angeolina Bruschi on December 4, 1929 in Mount Vernon, New York. Rosalie graduated from Walton High School, where she was a premier student of the Martha Graham dance technique. As a beautiful fashionista, she attended the Barbizon School of modeling in NYC.

In New York, Rosalie was employed at the Metropolitan Bank, before marrying her late husband (of 56 years) Vito Camasto and became a mother to her three daughters. Additionally, she worked as a volunteer at Mt. Vernon Hospital, a receptionist at the Cherie Buryel Company and as an administrative assistant at the Bronx Eye and Ear Hospital.

Her claim to fame is her stellar career as a homemaker and as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. When she wasn't serving gourmet meals to her family, she was playing tennis and was a great fan of the sport. Rosalie was a devoted student of the Bible and of the works of Saint Augustine. She is survived by her children Camille and Joseph Rivard, Angela and the late John Petriccione, Pamela and Rod DeHuff, as well as her six grandchildren, their spouses and six great-grandchildren.

Rosalie has touched so many lives with her love and generosity.
