Sr. Catherine Smith (1919-2020) died at Cabrini of Westchester on October24, 2020. Sr. Catherine (formerly Sr. Miriam Magdalen) entered the Sisters of Charity of New York on September 8, 1937. She taught in elementary and high schools in the Diocese of Brooklyn and the Archdiocese of New York and was Director of Grace Institute. Sister Catherine then served retired sisters in several congregational positions. She is survived by nieces Ann Domkowski and Catherine Baiseley, nephew Edward Yaros, several grandnieces and nephews and the Sisters of Charity with whom she shared life for 83 years.
