In the fiftieth year of her Commitment as a Sister of Charity, Sister Ellen Dunne, passed away at Cabrini of Westchester. Sister Ellen was an outstanding elementary school teacher with concentration in primary grades.

During forty three of those years of ministry as a Sister of Charity, she taught at Our Lady of Angels in the Bronx. During recent times she continued to serve at St Nicholas of Tolentine and St Raymond Elementary School.

Sister Ellen loved to prepare children for the Sacraments. She was quiet and reserved but she had a quick dry sense of humor.

Sister Ellen is survived by her brother Thomas Dunne and her sister Jane Dunne Burke, her sister in law Tammy, her nephew David, and her niece Rita.

Liturgy: St Margaret of Cortona, Friday, 9:45. Burial at St Joseph’s Cemetery Yonkers.
