Sr. Grace Henke (formerly Sr. Mary Adrienne) died peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2020 in the Bronx after a brief illness. Sr Grace entered the Sisters of Charity on September 8, 1951. She served in nursing and nursing education at St Vincent’s Hospital, St Vincent Hospital School of Nursing and at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Her specialty was pharmacophysiology and medical ethics. She served on Boards of Trustees and was a certified Ombudsman for the NYS Office of the Aging. In 2003, Sr Grace was honored with the Elizabeth Ann Seton Award for her service at St Vincent’s Medical Center. In her career, she authored several professional textbooks. She is survived by several cousins. Services will be celebrated at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of Charity of New York.
