Obituary for Sr. Janet Baxendale
Sr. Janet Baxendale (1937-2020) died at Cabrini of Westchester on March 31, 2020.
Sr. Janet (formerly Sr. Francis Rosaire) entered the Sisters of Charity of New York on September 8, 1957. She taught At St. Gregory in Harrison and Cardinal Spellman, High School in the Bronx, New York, before becoming Executive Secretary of the Liturgical Commission for the Archdiocese of New York and later adjunct Professor of Liturgy at St. Joseph Seminary in Yonkers.
In later years, Sr. Janet was a liturgical consultant for dioceses across the country and the U. S. bishops. She is survived by her brother John Baxendale and the Sisters of Charity with whom she has shared life for 63 years.
Services are private. Funeral Mass at a later date.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Yonkers, New York
