Teresa J. Linkowski (Dronzek) passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2022, at the age of 94. Born in 1927, to Josephine and Peter Dronzek, was a lifelong Yonkers resident most recently residing at the Chelsea in Greenburgh, NY. She married the late Dominick J. Linkowski on February 19, 1950 at Saint Casimir‘s Church, Yonkers, NY and enjoyed 56 years of marriage. Terry graduated Commerce High School, Yonkers, NY at age 16, and soon begin her career with Metro North, rising to become executive assistant to the transportation superintendent. One of her many accomplishments was being the first female representative of her union. However, her greatest achievement in life was raising her four children.
Terry was a devout Catholic and active member of the Church of Saint Anthony, Yonkers, NY. She was a popular lector for many years and a member of several prayer groups. She aged gracefully, constantly giving of her time, talents, and treasure. Terry was the oldest of nine siblings. She is pre-deceased by Dorothy, Agnes, Josephine, Peter, and Paul. She is survived by her siblings MaryAnn, Rosemary, and Joseph. She is also survived by her four children, Laura (Gerard) Matthews of Riverdale, NY, Dr. Gregory (Dr. Lynn Nile) Linkowski of Kennett Square, PA, Steven Linkowski of Fleetwood, NY, and Peter (Mary) Linkowski of Ossining, NY. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, three of whom have spouses, as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held Wednesday, July 13 from 4 to 8 PM at the Flynn Memorial Home on Central Park Ave., in Yonkers. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Anthony Church, Yonkers on Thursday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings -on-Hudson, NY.
