Obituary for Walter James White

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts of the passing of our dear departed brother Walter James White. James will be lovingly remembered by everyone he came into contact with. he will forever be miss by all who knew him.

James was born on December 25, 1943 in Columbia, S.C. to the late Annie Mae Brown- White and Joseph White Sr. James along with his family came to New York in 1958.

Because Walter James was reared in a Christian home, he always new he could go to God in prayer. James was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church here in Yonkers, N.Y

James received his education in the South Carolina and New York public school system. After he graduated high school he joined the United States Army. On May23,1967 James received an Honorable Discharge from his military duty, and return home safely to his family.

James held various jobs, he loved working with his hands, he was one of the best mechanics of his time. If James couldn't fix it, it couldn't be fixed!

On Tuesday May 12th, 2020 our beloved brother Walter James White entered into his eternal rest. His journey here on earth came to an end. God’s angels came and safely took James home to rest. For our hearts are saddened and our grief is heavy and hard to bear but oh what a joy to know he is free and at peace.

The love ones James has left to cherish his memories are many: His nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and neighbors.

James was preceded in death by: his parents, Annie Mae and Joseph White, three sisters Antionette, Joetta, and Lou Alice, two brothers Joseph Jr., Nathaniel.
