Obituary for William Aufiero
William Aufiero passed away on August 24, 2022 at the age of 97!
William was born in the Bronx on August 9, 1925 to Luigi and Consiglia (Carlino) Aufiero. He was the second youngest of eight children (five brothers and two sisters, all deceased).
He graduated from Christopher Columbus High School (Bronx, NY) in 1944 and then worked in the family business until he became the proprietor of his own company. In 1949 he enlisted in the US Army Reserves and was trained as a medic.
William enjoyed good conversation, reading history books, playing golf, singing with passion, and being with his family.
William will be remembered as an honest, hardworking, intelligent and dedicated family man with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, cheerful disposition and great sense of humor.
William is survived by three daughters: Diane Pagnozzi (Joseph), Ann Sanchez (Frank), and Kathy Gabriel (Gary). He leaves behind eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
