Ann Scott, 78, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on August 12, 2020. Ann, the daughter of Raymond and Kathryn Conway, was born and raised in the Bronx, New York where she attended St. Helena’s Grammar School and High School and made lifelong friends.

Ann attended Katharine Gibbs School and worked for Texaco before marrying her husband Charles of 52 years and having her children Christine and Brian. Ann began working as a temporary secretary for Citibank and, after more than 30 years, she retired as an Assistant Vice President.

Ann enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, hosting holidays and her annual St. Patrick’s Day dinner. She loved summer days at Avon By the Sea, listening to live Irish music and singing Sweet Caroline with her family. Ann often said, “Don’t postpone joy” and loved cruising, traveling with her husband to Ireland, and visiting her friends in California.

Ann will be greatly missed by her husband Charles, daughter Christine (George), son Brian (Crystal), granddaughters Katelyn, Emma, Kathryn and Elizabeth, her brother Brendan, her sister Ellen, and her niece and nephews.

Calling hours will be at Flynn Memorial Home, on Friday, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 10:00 am, at Saint Ann’s Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

I remember painting Mama Scott's apartment in the Bronx with Christine over 30 years ago! All the spoons and the dark wood cabinets and the huge kitchen table. I also remember a voided check Brian taped to the fridge for 1 million dollars. lol. Mama Scott gave more than she ever received and was always humble and absolutely cherished her children and grandchildren. They now have the best angel ever watching over them. I will miss her but know in my heart that God made the right decision to bring her home. May God Bless Charles and her family. Ted
